SKB Mission: Vertical Mile Completed on Wilson Creek!

This past weekend (3-16-08) our TVF Sexy Kayaking Beast Team completed one of our main goals for the competition; which was to complete a vertical mile (5,280 ft) of TVF on a run.  We never planned for it to happen on Wilson Creek, but we did it with 20 laps @ 275′ per lap = 5,500 TVF for the day!  We all were definitely wore out by the end of the day, but we sure were feeling sexy for our accomplishment!

We started at 8:30am and finished at 7:30pm!  Good times, good times.

I also had 1 extra bonus lap in between laps #11 & #12, because I was showing my buddy, Dan Thomas, down the run.  This made a total of 10 laps for me… But only 9 counted as TVF laps.  That is the most I have ever paddled in one day and  felt it on Monday morning.  Below is a photo of one of the 10 times I ran 10′ falls…

I am really enjoying TVF this year!  It is making me a better paddler and our SKB Team is having way to much fun, while kicking all the other team’s butts!  Check out the scoreboard for the proof: http://www.boatertalk.com/TVF

Our SKB Team is now to sexy for Wilson Creek!  On to the Tellico for Good Friday to continue or TVF domination…
