Andrew Lowd and I had a blast on our little road trip to Rock Island Saturday! We started the day off with some tasty breakfast at Cracker Barrel in Strawberry Plains, TN. We Pulled into the JK Plant shipping area around 11:30 a.m. Central Time. We loaded up our 10 new boats and headed to Rock Island to check out the scenes…
When we arrived there was water everywhere! The dam was releasing and power house was generating. I was super stoked because it was the first time out of the 5 times that I have been there that the water was actually running. Andrew and I met up with some of the guys from the plant at the top of the great falls over look and they told us that I could join them for some hucking action when they got back from lunch.
In the mean time I showed Andrew the other sites of Rock Island, since this was his first visit to the area. We also stopped by EJ’s house to shoot the bull with him, Emily and Nick. We had some good conversation. Then the time came to meet back up with Mark and Goat for some park and huck at the Spout!
The spout is a super clean 20′ drop. We got to huck it twice before we ran out of water from the dam being shut off. Andrew took some photos of us from the overlook. Check them out with the link below:
