This year has been a great year of paddling for me! I did several personal first descents this year that include: the Lower Gauley, Wilson Creek, Whitetop Laurel, my Mexico Paddling trip (Ojo Frio, el Salto, & Cascade Micos), and Hooker Falls. I have learned a lot this year and my paddling skills keep improving. I have had several great mentors guide me along the way and thanks to you all!
But I have to say two of my greatest inspirations this year have been HeeHaw Jones and Jansen Weatherly!

They are both incredible paddlers that really have pushed the sport of kayaking to the limits… Watching these guys instructional videos and listening to their motivational speeches has urged me to keep upping my game! So this brings me to my final paddling thought for the year… If HeeHaw and Jansen got in a fight who would win? (Kind of like the old famous question of Batman v/s Spiderman fight) Post your vote and reason below in the comments section below.

Jansen would win because Hee Haw would start clowning around and showing off. Jansen is much more serious and dignified.

Jansen-The odds seem to favor with the one with the most nuts. Something to be said for someone who has to carry them around in a fanny pack.
I say we invite both of them to a few of the of the local “throw downs” this spr/sum and see what get’s started
Gotta go with Jansen on this one…I’ve seen the video of him actually in a kayak…where with Hee-Haw, all I’ve seen is him TALKING about kayaking. I’d actually pay to see these two go head to head…okay, maybe pay a buck, but that’s still good money
