Wesley’s Wild World of Kayaking w/ the Jackson Action Wagon (J.A.W.)

Rushing Water Outfitters (RWO) and the J.A.W. - http://worldkayakblogs.com/wildwildwes/the-jaw/ - are teaming up again for the first end of the season paddling event in our region - Kayaktoberfest!!!  Come one and all to celebrate the fall colors on the Noli with some fellow paddlers (PRAY FOR RAIN!).

When: Friday & Saturday, October 19-20, 2007 

Schedule of events:

Friday -  RWO will be having a huge sale (10-40% OFF) on most of their remaining stock of 2007 paddling products and merchandise.  RWO will have free Liquid Logic and Pyranha demos all day.  Sale starts at 8:00am!

Saturday - Meet up at RWO with us from 9-10 am to go paddling on either a section of the Lower Noli or the Noli Gorge.  The fall colors should be peaking around this time, so no matter the water level it should be a beautiful padding trip.  FYI - If flows stay below 200, there will most likely be very few people willing to paddle.  PRAY FOR RAIN!

Saturday - RWO will continue their huge sale (10-40% OFF) on most of their remaining stock of 2007 paddling products and merchandise.  RWO will have free Liquid Logic and Pyranha demos all day.  The J.A.W. will be at Rushing Water Outfitters for free Jackson demos during the afternoon.  The J.A.W. will also have it’s remaining fleet on sale to make room for next years new fleet.  Come check out the great deals!

Saturday Evening - Our region’s film premiere of Chris Gallaway’s “The Green Race Movie”.  Check out my earlier blog post for details on the film and a movie trailer:  http://worldkayakblogs.com/wildwildwes/2007/08/06/82/.  RWO will have copies of the film and the poster for purchase.  The film will be shown on the big screen at LD’s place (Nolichucky Gorge Campground - http://www.angelfire.com/tn/nolichucky/).  The Movie will start around dusk (7:15ish).  RWO will also be serving up some free tasty food and beverages (both for the family and adult consumption, so there will be something for everyone) at their place (4:00-7:00pm), before we all head up the road to LD’s to watch “The Green Race Movie”.  RWO will also be giving away some door prizes after the movie.

RWO will also be taking up donations for AW for anyone who would like to make a contribution.  This will be a great weekend of fellowship with local paddlers from around our region.  Come on out and enjoy the fall scenes with RWO & the J.A.W.
