Move Over Heehaw Jones… There are some New International Kayaking Idols on the Rise!!!

That’s right, you have heard it here live at World Kayak today.   Two paddling friends and I are headed out of the country to Mexico for our own “Mini-version” of Hotel Charley, which is code for Hard Core FYI.  Out of honor and complete respect to all parties involved with the Hotel Charley series and H2O Films, our trip will be named Bungalow Bob – Craze of Creeks.

Brian Plant, Dan Thomas and I will be meeting up with Leland Davis & Andria Baldovin for a week long adventure and Creeking Clinic in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.  We will be flying into the Airport of Tampico, Mexico from Knoxville, TN on December 9 and returning on December 16.  Check out the link below for all of our trip info, including the rivers we will be paddling, maps, photos and much more…

I am beyond excited to say the least!  This will be the kayaking trip of a life time for me.  I am sure I will come away a better paddler by taking this clinic with Leland too. Check out the trip report from Leland on his previous adventure to this area for details about the rivers we will be paddling:

The below YouTube links are from some other paddlers that have ran the same rivers that we will be running on our trip.  The runs look awesome!

Wish me and my friends luck as we prepare to embark on our epic journey to Mexico for Bungalow Bob – Craze of Creeks!

By the way, I have to give credit to my girlfriend, Juli Blue, for coming up with our trip name of Bungalow Bob, because she knows how much I love the Hotel Charley movies.  Plus we are staying in Bungalows for our lodging at the resorts.  Thanks honey!  You are so creative and funny!

Expect to hear more Bungalow Bob updates on this site as time for the trip gets closer.

Have a nice day!
