Green River Narrows Race & Movie

 Green Race Movie Title

I got the chance last November (2006) to attend my first Green Race as a spectator.  I have heard and read about the race for several years, but I’ve never thought much of it; because it is way out of my league of expertise.  Andrew Bentley got me fired up to go watch the race last year.  So we planned a trip and headed down to Saluda, NC on a chilly early Saturday morning to hike down into the Narrows.  The hike was fun in itself, but the race is unlike anything you have every seen.  The Green River Narrows Race is one of those events that you have to be there in person to truly appreciate.  It was one of the funnest days I have ever had in the sport of kayaking and I never even got in a boat!  The event is truly awesome to watch.  I can not even image participating in it…

We’ll for all of us dreamers a gentleman by the name of Chris Gallaway in association with Effort TV has put together a movie about the Green Race.  This movie will open the doors to a new world of kayaking that most of us have never even imagined.  I am super excited about this movie!  This could be one of the best kayaking movies ever, only rivaled by Hotel Charlie - River of Doubt!  See the links below for details and a movie trailer (need Quicktime player).

I am curious if copies of the DVD can be ordered? Will copies be available at the race this weekend? If so what is the cost?
