A Jackson Armada’s Voyage on the Nanty

A bunch of my Paddling Friends and I went down to the Nanty for a day of big Fun on 7-15-07. We had a total of 9 boaters in our group, who were all in Jackson Kayaks. We were a flotilla of Jackson Action! The boaters in our group included: me; my cousin - Chad Grindstaff; some paddling friends - Stuart Everett, Brad Barker, Dan Thomas, & Andrew Bentley; and some newbies to the Nanty - Julie Bentley, Aaron Bentley, & Taylor Samples. We all had a great day out on the river!

Carnage Report: Taylor had two swims - one was the result of just catching an edge in the current and the other was in the bottom hole of Nanty Falls. Julie had one swim in the bottom hole of Nanty Falls. Aaron got flipped at the bottom hole of Nanty Falls, but had a great combat roll! All swims resulted with no injuries and quick rescue. Way to go team!

Check out the photos below for details of all the fun we had!

Hey, Wes! I know this post was about an earlier Nanty trip - but thought it looked like a good place to say Glad to meet you, too , in the NOC lot on 8/6. I loved seeing the Jackson Action Wagon. I’d like to know more about your adventures with the J.A.W. I’ll send an off-blog note to learn more :-) Hope to see you on the river :-)
