Just a reminder for those of you who will be in the area this weekend - August 3-5 - US Slalom Nationals are being hosted at the Adventuresports Center on Saturday. This is the whitewater discipline that is part of the Olympics. Slalom combines speed and precision with racers negoitiating aproximately 24 gates over the length of the race course. It is truly amazing to what these athletes dance through the course at high speeds. Between 80- 100 of the nation’s top racers will be racing in 6 different boat classes.
Whiile a lot of people have already expereince the whitewater course at ASCI, its events like this that make the Center a huge assett to the region. This event will draw in people and media attention from all over the country.
