Originally from Cardiff, Wales I moved to Coastal Oregon, USA in 2003, to take a position as a Marine Chemist. Staying 5 years, I became absorbed into the Oregon kayaking scene;  good people, rivers, snow and surf made it hard to leave in 2008.  Now based in Southampton, England, I’m busy getting know the local and not so local spots.

    Hi Kate,

    I’m one of the guys in the Tahiti/Rogue group that came down through Spencer’s Hole last week. My brother-in-law was the one who got his boat sucked in and spit out! Just wanted to thank you guys for the choice experience of watching you do some incredible maneuvers in the hole that day. It looked like a ton of fun! Nice blog. I work in Corvallis…small world.

    Hi Kate,
    You and your mates helped us out with a boat rescue on Sunday and your mate needs a new throw line, if you let me know what sort it was I will try my best with the boat owner. Thanks for all the help

    Hi Kate,
    Great to see your photos of Kayaking in wales! :) I took some photos of you playboating earlier in the year? would you like them?
    Also I can see my surf kayak in one of your pics! :) cheers for that I am now famous!! :)
    (Been some nice surf sessions this year!)

    We met us end of Mai 2010 near Versam on the Campground.
    That was a nice evening, I never will forget!

    At the last Day I had no time to wait for you People
    to change our mail- adress,
    but I had to go and pick up my little Daughter,
    I missed her so hard.

    That´s a nice Story about the Glenner…
    I told you befor that the Glenner is nothing for Huf an his Son;-)

    If you and your friends when ever comming down to the Black-Wood Forest
    you`re wellcome to stay in my house.

    I hope you forgive me my horrible english und you can read this shit.
