Two years of procrastination over and I’ve finally put together a video of Opal Creek and Gorge. Opal wilderness area is located in the Cascades Range,Oregon. With fantastic geology, breathtaking scenery and crystal clear water, it is truly one of the prettiest places I’ve ever been.

The run is a class 4,5 with one mandatory class 6 portage. The video does not inculde many of the large rapids, but gives a feel for the run. On this day Jesse Coombs ran the fish ladder on the right. I dont think any one else has run that line at this flow.
