TSRA Canoe & Kayak School 2008 - June 21-22, 2008

The TSRA Canoe and Kayak School will be held at Gee Creek Campground on the Hiwassee River near Etowah, TN. Canoe and Kayak School is the perfect class for beginners to learn to paddle. It’s also a great chance for more experienced paddlers to improve their skills. Classes for all skill levels from beginner to advanced!

TSRA Introduction to Paddling - Saturday, May 10 2008 - Nashville, TN

Introduction to Paddling School will be held at the Joe C. Davis Outdoor Center at Percy Priest Lake in Nashville, Tennessee.

This is our 20th annual Canoe and Kayak introductory clinic. It is designed to introduce you to the sport of paddling. This is the perfect opportunity to learn the basic skills you need to paddle safely and have fun. Whether you enjoy a scenic float or you aspire to be a whitewater paddler this is a great place to start.

Paddle Tennessee’s Cumberland Plateau! - April 3-6, 2008

The date is set - April 3-6, at Camp Nakanawa near Crossville on the Cumberland Plateau. The amenities at Camp Nakanawa are perfect for the biggest and best paddling weekend of the year. Rustic cabins on a beautiful lake, a warm fire in the Wigwam and proximity to some of the finest paddling in the United States. Hiking, biking and long naps are also in the mix - there’s outdoor fun for everyone at the TSRA White Water Rendezvous.

We’ll have trips lead by experienced local paddlers on some legendary runs. The Big South Fork, Clear Creek, Daddy’s Creek Canyon, The Emory and Obed Rivers, The Piney, Crooked Fork, Crab Orchard Creek, Goulds Bend, The Tellico are some of the classics that we’ll run. Exactly what we’ll run is dependent on water levels so come prepared for any and everything from Class I-II to IV-V excitement. There’ll be something for all levels of experienced paddlers.
