Alright Guys and Gals,

Sorry for the late post, but things have been crazy around Arkansas for the past couple of weeks. Record breaking rain in July means more kayaking!! The second Hometown Throwdown for Arkansas was an “8 Ball Boater X” style event. 12 Teams of two (open boats and kayaks) went head to head to head in an elimination style race at our local playspot, Rockport. Impedeing their path to victory were the “8 ballers” We started with 4 “8 ballers” but after being eliminated, a team was converted. The final race meant more people in the way than were racing. It looked like a feeding frenzy of pyranha attacking!! Too Hilarious!

The winning team was comprised of Jack Hollingsworth and James Robison! Congratulations!

Everyone that participated left with something from the prize raffle. Renee Hanshaw left with the top prize. A Shred Ready Vixen Helmet!!! Thanks to all that participated and to the sponsors. I will have some video up of the “feeding frenzy” as soon as I can get it edited. Hometown Throwdown #3 is on the way, next weekend…August 8, 2009. Location to be announced. With all the rain, we may have a big playspot in, so keep your fingers crossed.
