Charlotte Throwdown #2 Results: Newcomers Welcome!!!
This was the last throwdown before the Pro-Am (on September 22!!) at the USNWC. We return to a familiar little spot. Sometimes it just fun to spend some time in a sweet little hole with absolutely no rafts! Second drop was a nice fluffy level so that is where we decided to throwdown. The last regular throwdown brought 12 newcomers who had never done a throwdown before. There was a great sense of community as impromptu play boating lessons sprung up before, during and after the event.
We had a total of 15 competitors. There were plenty of cartwheels, spins, and enders. You gotta love seeing kids in the Jackson Fun 1 and 1 ½ getting vertical and watching the older rippers looping in the Rockstar. The force was felt when the top 3 in the men’s class started linking ends into loops looking like JEDeyes! Even both Charlotte Ambassadors got to play! It was a great atmosphere and everyone had a smile during the event and even bigger smiles thanks to all of our great sponsors for providing some great schwag for us to raffle off after the event.
