So it was another hot day of boatercross at the USNWC. Ten brave souls came out to race in the heat and tackle the course which was designed by a playboater who thought that a mandatory surf of M-Wave would be a good idea, especially since most everyone brought out there creekers! The first heat which was the jr’s was won by Micjah. The adult heats were won by Pete and Art. The competitors decided to switch up the rules for the winners race and let everyone race, nothing like watching 8 boaters going for one crazy swirling eddy at the same time. And to step it up a notch this was a no sprayskirt race! Jeremy Ingram swam/squirted his way to victory in the winners race, but at our awesome prize raffle thanks to all of our great sponsors it was decided that Pete was the King of Boatercross. Not only did he win his heat, he managed to roll up after flipping after losing his paddle with someone else’s paddle that he “borrowed” while he was counting fish and then sprinted for the win, pretty stout!
