WK Survivor Slalom #2 – Rundle Riot
By saskia • Jun 26th, 2009 • Category: Feature Story, Slalom SurvivorAnother great day! We started off with paddling the Pipestone near Lake Louise and then headed back to Canmore for the Rundle Riot; the second World Kayak Survivor Slalom from a series of four in Western Canada. Amidst thunder showers throughout the day the clouds parted ways for our event and the sun was out by 5:00 pm. After haning a few slalom gates and wires and helping out with a skills clinic, we had our race.
A very special thanks to Peter Thompson and Brad Dudinsky for helping me hang the course and to Brace Lee for helping with the slalom clinic. It was great to see everyone out last night; I am sure it would not be fun if I were doing this on my own.
