NOC/Dagger Shootout Teaser
By Christopher Wing • Aug 21st, 2008 • Category: Feature Story, Uncategorized, WK Pro Event Coverage, WK World Cup CoverageI was out at NOC last week meeting with the event organizers and recruiting photographers for the event as well as catching up with old friends. I had the chance to sit own with Daniel Dutton the event organizer and ask him a few questions. For full event details click here. I also got out with a few friends to try and dial in the feature before this weekend. What I can say is, this feature is fast and powerful and will reward the patient. Local favorite Tommy Yon has been out on the feature about two hours a day and Daniel Dutton thinks that any pro will be hard pressed to beat Tommy this weekend. The event however is not just for the pros but also for beginners as well, sporting eight classes total. I look forward to seeing more events like these coming back to the Southeast. Check out the video.
Christopher Wing is I currently work at the US National Whitewater Center in Charlotte, NC as an Instructor Trainer. The 2008 season is my most ambitious to date as I pursue becoming a professional athlete while I expand my programming horizons in professional level instruction.
