Boise Hometown Throwdown #3
By Gary Wilson • Jul 20th, 2008 • Category: Throwdown Results, WK Hometown ThrowdownsSince our June Hometown Throwdown was canceled due to maintenance on the hydro plant, Thursdays Throwdown was our third. We have added an event on September 11th to make up for the June cancelation.
Weather was outstanding with temps in the mid 90’s and even with many of our regulars on vacation we had 10 juniors and 4 adults. One of the 17 year-old participants came back to the registration table after warming up and asked to be put in the adults division. When I asked why he said "Have you seen those kids?!!" The adults just looked a little more to relaxed to him 
Big thanks to all the volunteers: Scott, Monica, Deb, and Kelly. And a big thanks to Tren Long of Cascade Raft and Kayak for showing up for the veriety scoring!!
One ‘thats-very-cool’ note - one of our adults got a clean bill of health and is officially a cancer survivor as of the night prior to the event. Rather inspiring I thought!!
