Wow what a great event we enjoyed for the second night of the four night Golden Community Kayak Rodeo! http://www.eddyflower.com/gcr We had a great turnout Wednesday despite not having perfect Colorado weather. It’s obvious that kayak fans and competitors will not be deterred, especially when we had 5 tents to hide under during the brief rainshower. Hopefully, this means that we’ll have more people next week cheering the newbie through expert playboaters. The downriver race was exciting too with some ‘8-Ball’ boaters to get in their way.
Thanks to Loki and Golden River Sports for setting up their shops on the banks of Clear Creek too. Dagger / WaveSport were there supporting us in person too with many thanks to Hobie for being the MC! Without our partners, we couldn’t give away so many prizes to competitors and spectators. So come out this coming Wednesday and the following Wednesday evening. We’ll have some free drinks (no not that kind) from Joint Juice on the 11th and some more on the 18th. We’ll also have some free Sweet Leaf Tea on the final night. So quench your thirst at the very least!
