The Old Man Gets Beat!

7 June 2008 3 Comments

Not much more to say other than Dustin Urban is bomber under pressure. Facing a score of 158 that EJ put up in his second ride, Dustin had one more ride to go. After splashing a bit of water in his face and looking over to his wife Katie he road into the hole and absolutely blew Vail, CO up! He hit just about every trick that is possible scoring an astounding 178 points besting EJ’s by 20 points. This put the pressure on the old man as he had one more ride to go. EJ slapped Dustin a high five, revved up the corwd and looked for Christine in the crowd and went out for one last effort. It just was not enough putting Dustin Urban on top.

The crowd was electric, I was electric, just about everyone was electric and were happy to see a new face on top of the podium and in classic style, beating out the best.

The women’s finals was dominated by Emily Jackson throughout as Tanya and Ruth never could manage to best her scores ride after ride. It was an aggravating battle as both had stellar rides and came close on several occasions. Photos and video are being processed and should be up very soon.

if your 2008 ambition is to become a ‘professional athlete’… might not be a great idea to call the likes of ej “old man”…. don’t shit where you eat. you’re still accountable for what you write in cyberworld. good luck. godspeed.
