Mountain Khakis joins us as WK Hometown Throwdown Partner

With our World Kayak Throwdown events already chalk full of amazing prizes, Mountain Khakis has just sweetenned the pot adding a pair of pants to the prize list of stuff our event organizers are giving away in their regions.
This announcement comes on the heals of Kayak Session’s announcement as a WK partner with the donation of subscriptions at each event alongside free copies of their latest edition. The total prize list is impressive with the following list of goodies:
- Smith Sunglasses - a pair at each event, loads of schwag
- MION Footwear - a pair at each event, schwag
- Kayak Session - free mags, subscriptions
- Jackson Kayak - hats, t-shirts and more
- Immersion Research - loads of cool IR goodies
- Red Bull - free drinks, tons of schwag
Prizes are handed out via a raffle, there are no prizes for placing in the competition as WK encourages friendly fun on the wave. Points are lotted for the tougher moves, but also given for front surfs, paddle tricks and much more… making this JUST FOR FUN!

James is known for having a unique place in whitewater. The founder of Kayak Futaleufu and a former partner in Liquid Skills, James (aka "Pollo") has been around the paddling world for many a year. James currently is the director of World Kayak in hopes of aiding a significant growth through community activity world wide!
