Bend Whitewater Park’s First Hometown Throw Down

The first HTTD in the BWP went smoothly.  We used Jason’s Wave and about 15 paddlers got in the water.  Afterwards we held the raffle of swag provided by the World Kayak sponsors at Tumalo Creek and Kayak thanks to graciousness of owner Geoff Frank.  The flow through the BWP will drop next week and hopefully it will still have surf waves.  Fingers crossed. Dacey’s PFD at 13 Yrs old

This was a great day out on the Ocoee river!  Dacey styled it on her PFD. At only 13 years old with some time on the river, nerves of steel and a great crew along side her, she has been taking on some awesome rivers lately!  One of my favorite things to do is watch kids and watch PFDs, so when we get to take kids down for the first time on a river its one of the coolest things to do in kayaking.
