Fourth Annual World Kayak 2015 Jordan Race!

In much the same style as the 2014 Jordan race, here comes the 2015 Jordan race! Come out to race the legendary rivers of Revy! Race will be composed of teams of two running from rapid number three down to the bridge. Times will be taken, and the fastest boaters will win prizes. Safety will be provided by your team member.

The White River

Two weeks ago, I woke up after a big party night in Leavenworth and kicked off my day with a mellow bike ride through town. After getting my coffee fix, I dropped into Leavenworth Mountain Sports to see what was good on the scene with owner Adam McKenny. Our conversation somehow got directed toward wind and paddle sports on Lake Wenatchee, the main source of the Wenatchee River.

APEs Big Laurel/FB9 Creeking Trip Report

The week of July 13 th , 2015 was filled with heavy rains in the southeast which got many creeks and rivers up and running at very healthy flows during the week!  Big Laurel stayed above 1’-0” on the gauge Monday-Wednesday with all the rain.  This setup a possibility for the run to hold for a Saturday trip.  On Friday gauge readings came from the Laurel River Store that the run was at +1” on the gauge in the A.M. and the level only dropped to 0” in the P.M

Roaring River Slalom Race

The League of Northwest Whitewater Racers will be hosting the Roaring River Slalom races on the Clackamas river on August 8th and 9th. Lisa Day has worked real hard getting this together this year and it would be great to have a good turnout. More information can be found at

2015! On your mark, get set, paddle!

This year started with a significant amount of newbies to WW paddling coming out to the ten weeks of pool sessions at Trent University. Awesome. Both young and not-as-young, a common demographic for the Kawartha Whitewater Paddlers, were introduced to this brilliant sport

Palmerfest and KWP Ottawa Weekend

Each paddling season we welcome the warming temperatures and the regularly scheduled Palmerfest on the Victoria Day long weekend. Held on the Madawaska River at a river section known as Palmer Rapids, the event welcomes paddlers of all experience.

Fun Run

If you’re a regular follower of the Central Ontario region on World Kayak, you’re familiar with our weekly series of paddling get togethers know as the Fun Run. Held on weeknights, starting at about 6:00pm, the Club meets at Burleigh Falls on Hwy 28

HTTD #2 Arkansas

Arkansas is going to go big this coming Saturday (July 25) you will not want to miss this one… Let’s just say that there will be a new destination on the river!
