Help American Whitewater win $5,000!‏

American Whitewater is excited to let you know we’re part of a really cool campaign called the “ Moosejaw x Patagonia Charity Thing .” It’s a friendly charity competition involving a group of causes that were hand-picked by Patagonia and Moosejaw to compete to raise the most money between now and March 13th. The top raising charities get donations of $5,000, $3,000 or $2,000. Here’s where we need your help… Please Go Here and make a donation to American Whitewater! We’ll put the money to good use protecting and restoring flows and ensuring that you can access and enjoy whitewater rivers

Always Check for Wood

A couple weeks ago, I took some friends down the Upper Tumwater section of the Wenatchee River. It had been a while since I’d paddled this stretch, but it is a very wide section of the river and the rapids are seemingly less difficult than the main section of Tumwater Canyon. It is still considered class III-IV, especially when paddled at higher volumes.
