New Whitewater Event in Boise Area This July!

2011
06.07

Check it out – new event, and it sounds like a blast :  The Boise Whitewater Festival. July 16, 17

Please join us in ushering in the inaugural Boise Whitewater Festival. The event is designed to showcase some of the great opportunities that Boise offers the whitewater community. This years events will include a 6 mile time trial down the Boise River for rafts, kayaks, canoes and stand up paddle boards. At the finish line we will party in Ann Morrison Park with bands and the Payette Brewery Beer Garden. On Sunday, July 17th there will be a class IV boater cross on the Payette River with head to head action for kayaks, canoes and rafts. This will be the premier event of the United States Boater Cross Association.  CHECK OUT MORE INFO –> HERE!

The event is also looking for a bit of help on safety for the Saturday and Sunday events.  Contact  info@paddleboise.com and find out how you can help. Likely you can both participate in an event and help with safety.

Sam Geoff put together a fantastic event! Thanks :-) A huge thanks to Shawn at Horseshoe Bend Power for helping dial the gutter into a great wave for the evening! A generous Devon Barker again drove down to help score the event.
