First Trip Down the Main This Year.
03.22
[singlepic=27,320,240,,left]Sunny and about 50 degrees today, so Tyler, Troy and I hit the Main Payette today for a little river time – first river-running of the year. Still some snow on the shore and water was chilly, but what a great time. Troys B-day is tomorrow, so this was our last trip out before he is a teen-ager And…my new IR Drypants ROCK!
Level right now is about 2500 right now. If you are running GoLeft right now watch for a little fin rock on the left line just on the seam made by the big rock near the shore.

Idaho River Kids and Polo
03.17
We had a blast at the Idaho River Kids roll session last night at the Downtown YMCA. Chad Long was back from Chile and had the advanced kids in the lap pool playing water polo. It was the first time most of the kids had played and found it really worked their skills. My boys were chatting about the evening all the way home.
The 7:30 roll session was packed. I think everyone senses Spring in the air and thoughts are beginning to change from skiing to summer sports – and what better thing to do than paddle??
Thanks…
03.11
Hey – I just noticed that this would be post number 100. So I think this is a great place to say thanks to some key people for this site.
A big thanks to EJ, James and Colin – and to the other Ambassadors across the globe for time and content.
Also these sponsors for making events like Hometown Throwdowns possible.
I’m sure there are others folks behind the scenes that I’m missing, but thanks.
We are looking forward to a great paddling season and some great WK events – See you out there!
Nice Session at the Gutter
03.09
Tyler and I hit the Gutter today for about an hour and a half. The water was slightly better than February, but still cold!
Ran into three guys there that were enjoying the sunny day. It was about 53 degrees and a really pleasant ‘almost spring’ day.
Shadow was there to greet us – I’m sure he was glad the long cold winter is over and he will have company again
We are going to take a trash bag and try and hit some of the trash that has accumulated over the winter.
