The Chilliwack River
Tamihi Rapid is home to the Canadian National Whitewater Slalom Team and local paddling club Chilliwack Centre of Excellence. Both Paddle Performance Kayak School and Purple Hayes School of Kayaking have enjoyed the diversity of whitewater terrain that this river offers to all levels of paddling ability. Frequented by the Vancouver Kayak Club, many paddlers in this region appreciate the support of local paddle sports retailer Western Canoeing and Kayaking; the retail outlets of North Vancouver’s Sea to Sky Kayak Center and Vancouver based Glenmore Sailboats.

The Chilliwack River offers class 1-2 for novice and beginner and class 3-4 for the intermediate and advanced paddlers. Those who gravitate to the upper echelons of pushing the envelope will be pleasantly surprised to find this one of the best training grounds for technical skill. Come see what this river is all about!
