Ottawa Kayak School

This week was change over week, many keeners left this weekend after having a great keener experience. Although it was sad to see many close friends leave it was nice to have new keeners arrive. It will be fun to get to know all of the new keeners and there individual personalitys and have the opportunity to share many good memorys with the new comers as i have done with last weeks keener crew. It was nice to have a relaxing weekend this week after the intense paddling we had been doing in the structured weekday sessions. I took up the opportunity to have a lie in and a relaxed paddle, running the river on saturday and chilling at mcoys on sunday. Im looking forward to learning some more playboating skills and getting the chance to paddle with the new keeners. Iam also looking forward to wednesday night, steak night as it is by far the best night for foood at WT.

hello…again.
i have to apologise as i thought that my previous blog would be my last, but party sam has just informed me that i actually have one more to do. Oops.
Anyways, my last days have been pretty chilled. I ran the river with a few of the lads on saturday. Today, i went fishin and swimmin for a bit too. I might hit corner wave tonight if the level comes down a little. I think its currently at around 7ish.
Between now and tomorrow mornin i’ll have to find some time to pack up all my gear. There’s quite a bit of it. The 3 weeks have flown by and i’m sad to be leaving as i’ve gotten to know everyone and they’re a solid bunch of people. But everything must come to an end eventually. So i can only look forward to the next time i get to paddle with my keener friends. There will definitely be a next time.
Anyways, thanks a lot to everyone that helps make the keener programme what it is, namely motha jackie, party sam, Joe and all the keeners. I’ve had an epic time and have learned a lot.
I look forward to seeing all you guys again whether it be on the ottawa or back home in Ireland. Who knows.
