Werner paddles once made a three piece breakdown, but these days they only make a two piece, or four piece breakdown. Now a four piece will fit in the back of a playboat…but is not something I ever carry in a playboat. A two piece is too long for a modern creekboat, so I’ve been dragging around a heavy four piece breakdown for a while. Each joint adds a significant amount of weight. So needless to say I was stoked when a three piece Lightning breakdown came in the mail. Significantly lighter, but still fits in the back of a Hero or a Villain S.
