I just moved so I have not been able to post for a long time and I apologize to all of my long time fans, but now I am back!

I recently tried to create a kayak trailer for my bike. It was or I guess still is made of PVC with two lawnmower wheels. I only was able to use it one time as it broke on my way back from the river. It made it down ok but on the way back up when my kayak was all wet and heavy it had trouble.
Here is a picture of the aftermath:

As you can see it came apart in transit, but what you don’t see is what happened before that.

Carnage
This is where I rode all the way home with the wheel shaving away my boat pedal after pedal… It also ate away at the PVC:

The idea was good but it just didnt work out, next time I am going to use thicker PVC and a better axle. I now have a gold mini van to carry mine and everyone elses kayak down to the river. I just hope the tire worn part holds up.

You are very creative! My husband and I kayak on ponds that we need to hike to get to. He too tried to make a wheeled cart for just such an event. His is not yet perfected either. The hiking paths are sometimes very rocky so he needs much larger wheels.
