This year I have a list of things I would love for Christmas, again. The first is a year of water and rain in the Southeast USA. High water Rock Island is something that I really miss and the drought has me thinking about water more than ever. Luckily Rock Island has been running every day last week and paddling here is a reality again!
Next, I REALLY want to have my new Hero! This has been a 3 year project that is so close I can taste it! While I may be one of a handfull of people that may actually have one under my tree on Christmas morning, we will roll this river running machine off the line very soon after.
With my Hero, I want to go where I can put the Hero through its paces! For Christmas, I want to have a trip planned to warm water and weather, where the rivers are steep and clean. We are considering Chiapas, Mexico, but nothing is set yet.
Of course, I want to have my family home, healthy, and having fun, as my primary gift.

Amen EJ!!! It looks like our Christmas lists are the same… I keep prayin’ for rain in our region. I can hardly wait to update the J.A.W. with the new Hero Series and I am headed to SLP, Mexico on Dec 9-16, 2007 for a 5 day Mexico Creeking Clinic with Leland Davis. Yee-Haw! Merry Christmas to you and your family! Wishing you a blessed and safe New Year.
