White Water Play Park Hearing

james wrote 520 days ago:

My friends, in today’s chaotic world, we are fortunate to have recreation outlets that we are privileged to participate in. In order to maintain forward momentum with certain projects, we must take a stand.

Tonight at 7:00 pm, the Chelan County Parks and Recreation Department is holding a hearing concerning the future of our parks in the valley. A white water play park is on the table and is in need of support.

The last parks and recreation meeting I attended was attended by more people representing whitewater kayaking than any other individual sport. If we can keep consistent representation, we will make progress.

Join us tonight at 400 Douglas St. in Wenatchee at 7:00 pm. This may not show an immediate impact but it definitely cannot hurt.

I hope to see you there.

Cheers,

T-Pot!

Last Wed evening saw a great crew come out to compete in a slalom type race on the south channel of the Reno White Water Park.  5 months into the 2017 water year and we have already broken the record for most precipitation since records have been kept.  For example, last year we had about 500 cfs for our first throwdown, on Wed it was 5,000 cfs and has been for over a month.

The 2014 Rock Star

I believe most would agree it is safe to say that Jackson Kayak has never put a ‘bad’ play boat design out.  In fact, it would also be safe to say that, in every new model put out, they have made noticeable improvements. Never has this been so true as with the 2014 design.   I can back up every review that I have read out there on this boat, so rather than repeat what has already been said about; its speed, agility, swing weight, flat water trick-ability, white water running ability, etc. Im just gonna show a few pics of it in action and let the boat speak for itself when you paddle one, which, you should do as soon as the chance presents itself.  Cheers.
