Our last Boatercross of the season was on Saturday August 20. It was a great day with not a cloud in the sky. We held a special kids only Boatercross on the instructional channel, but don’t be fooled this kids tore up the race course. The race was set up with 4 slalom gates and at the start of the race each kid had to throw their paddle through a suspended hula hoop. This great course was designed by the USNWC’s own head of Kayak Instruction Pablo McCandless (former Olympic Slalom paddler). All the kids had a great time and made two runs down. We finished the day with stickers and prizes from our great sponsors.
See below for the results and some pictures.
We ended the day with a stepped up Boatercross on the Competition Channel. There were 12 brave souls who came to battle it out. We even had one pair in a Dynamic Duo. The race was tight and the final race was a five way battle with a close finish. See below for results.
