Villain Steals to Tellico

With not much else running and eager to paddle downstream, Tara Etter, Emily Jackson, Brad Cisco and I headed to the Tellico. Tara and I paddled the Dynamic Duo again – and it’s so fun to paddle with your partner! I especially like the challenge of trying to boof that long thing, and we did really well on all the drops – barely getting the hair wet on the drops and even getting some good boofs along the way.
Emily and Brad (your JK production manager) got to paddle the Villain for their first times? I forget how lucky I am to have one! Ran into Boyd Ruppelt and Sam Brunner on the shuttle and tossed the 3rd Villain I had their way. So instead of me taking one down.. again, I loaned them out to others and paddled with my girl on my first, and took a Fun for my second run.
Wow – it’s really cool to go from a Duo to a Fun..so much freedom and so little weight! I got a nice freewheel of Baby and some splats and 360’s but mainly talked to Ken and Chip and so many others on the river and just enjoyed a beautiful warm winter day.
Can’t wait to get back out again soon! NPFF this weekend then who knows…

DynamicDuo Enders – first hand..

Don’t make me paddle a Duo, I’m working Mcnastys! Team week involves sacrifice so i dutifully strapped myself into a dynamic duo with Creek Freak Jessie Combs and dove into the bottom of the Caney Fork Gorge below Twin Falls. The impact wasn’t too bad, the feeling of oblivion impressive, and the re-emergence to the cheers of those on the bank and the ecstatic expression of Jesse let me know there was something more fun going on up at the surface….
