Kayaking is a 35 year passion of mine I am still completely in love with, as I learn something new or re-appreciate something I forgot every time I go out. I started as a kid in canoe clubs with my parents, so I’m a big supporter of kids kayaking, gear, and strategies. Canoes have lots of ‘action’ so safety IS part of the sport to me. Travel is a side effect of seeking out rapids to run which opens your eyes once you are there. And lastly – if you are bored with your local river or playspot you are just not getting creative enough, and freestyle/freeriding is the perfect result of this issue.
