So, there is this competition starting at my gym tomorrow. Aggressive Paleo diet for 5 weeks. This means no beer, no sugar, no flour, no dairy, no legumes for five weeks. Everyone has kicked in $20, there will be one male and one female winner. Each winner will walk with between $400 and $500 cash money. So tomorrow the “before” photos will be taken. In anticipation of this, I have been drinking beer AMRAP for the past two days. As of this morning, I had one case left of Fat Tire with an expiration date for week after next.
Breakfast was Belgian waffles, chocolate milk and a couple chocolate chip cookies.
I then went to the gym. The WOD was 30 Squat Clean and Jerks. For women, 100 pounds was Rx’d. At 100 lbs, my form goes to crap, so I went with 85 pounds. It took me 6:53 to do 30, but this WOD was to last at least 8 minutes, so I went to AMRAP in 8 minutes, which tuned out to be 34.
After the WOD, I went home and turned to the AMRAP beer WOD, as of 4:30, I am at 9 beers. Why am I doing this to myself? Tomorrow is “Before” picture day, and I want to look my best! And the fact that after today barley pop will not play any role in my life for the next 5 weeks.
Lunch was a cheese burger, potato chips and beer,
followed by a bowl of ice cream and beer. For dinner, I am meeting a friend at Lost Dog for pizza and beer. I am actually starting to look forward to tomorrow. Also tomorrow I will be doing a “Bod Pod” body fat test, yep. This is the one that involves measuring displacement of compressed air in an air tight chamber to determine body fat content. This also will be done as before and after for the five week diet, so I will let you know how it goes.
Just to show that I am not uptight about being completely candid about this project, here is a photo of me from the “Floppintag” contest back in October.
