I wanted to thank you to world kayak and everybody involved. The Reno throwdowns were amazing.
Thanks
First First Descent, I think.

The other day after a tough day of guiding the owner of my company was like “Boy! you coming to run this wit me or else”! Ok not really but he wanted to run something that he said has never been run before and there was a cave in it so I decided I’d tag along. It was called Steamboat Ditch and it is above the Truckee in Reno. We put in across from gold ranch for those of you who know where that is and it was in a no trespassing zone. For the first few miles we didn’t talk because we didn’t get caught. After that it was chill until we made it to the cave. I guess I should mention it was all flatwater up till the cave. The cave was so narrow. We couldn’t use our paddles and we had to duck down. It was pitch black and awesome. One point we had to get out of our IKs to get by because it was so narrow. One point it opened up and got steep so we were bombing and it was really sketchy. It was really fun though. Highly recommend. I just want to know, has anyone ever ran this or am I as amazing as I really think I am. It was really easy but fun.
Love,
Blaine
Stuck My First Loop Today

Awesome, totally happened!
Patchin A Boat! Oh Yeah.
June 16, 2008
Some massive amounts of craziness happened today. My friend and I patched a hole in our boats. We were pretty ghetto about it but I think it will work out great. We cut pieces out of the middle where our skirts go and patched up the tail. My boat looks like the underside of a desk(gum). I stole some material from two of my friends boats. I hope they don’t get too pissed. I’ll keep everyone updated on how it works out. I know you hope the best for me.
Here is the picture of the tail of my “like new” boat,

And here is my friends who also fixed his tail but thought it would be awesome if he burned his name into the bottom of his boat so guess what, he did,

Happy Paddling,
Blaine

Howdy do everyone,
So I’ve never blogged before and I kinda feel weird doing it but I think it is going to be a good time for all of us. I’m thinking my blog is going to be about all the adventures I have kayaking this summer and perchance some other things as well. Maybe even I can help out some people to with some stuff. Anywho we just had our hometown throwdown on Wednesday and I got fourth in K1B so I was pretty stoked. I had some nice cartwheels and some attempts at my loop which I’ve gotten once now. I’ll get some pictures up soon with our adventures but most of them will probably be playboating cause thats what I really love.
