Teva 2009

The kayaking this weekend at the Teva Mountain Games was awesome. I was around for the freestyle semi-finals and finals on Saturday, and for all of the raft cross and eight-ball races on Sunday. The eight-ball was wildly entertaining, as usual, but my favorite minute of action had to be Stephen Wright’s winning 1310-point ride in the men’s freestyle finals — one great move after another, and one of the biggest air-loops I’ve ever seen. That guy is always so much fun to watch.

To top it all off, on Sunday afternoon I was able to have a (very short) conversation with Eric Jackson. Also, I got a picture. It kinda made my weekend.

P.S. – EJ, a couple of years ago at the Lyons Outdoor Games we had a conversation about kayaks. You recommended the Fun; last year, I bought a 2007 model. I absolutely love it. Good call. Great boat!
